General

Single malt whisky is made at a single distillery using malted barley and distilled in pot stills.

Peated whisky has a smoky flavor from malted barley dried over peat fires, while unpeated whisky lacks this smoky note.

By law, whisky must mature in oak casks for at least three years, but many distilleries age their whisky longer for added complexity.

Scotch whisky is made exclusively in Scotland and follows strict regulations regarding ingredients, distillation, and maturation.

Store whisky upright in a cool, dark place to preserve its quality.
